A resident was having difficulty propelling herself to the dining room. She appeared very frustrated and angry. Norman, noticing this difficulty and despite working in Environmental Services not as a caregiver, asked if he could assist in any way. Norman took the time to console her as he gently pushed her to the dining room. Most young people would not do so, but this young man has a big heart, and has been seen comforting other residents that may be experiencing some difficulty. It is uplifting to see this type of intergenerational bonding. Norman certainly practices our Juniper philosophy of Nurturing the Spirit of Life!
